What to Do When You Are Struggling After Finding Out Your Friend is Pregnant
1 – Breathe
Take a deep breath
2 – Worship
Spend time worshipping Jesus. When you worship Him it turns your attention off of your problems and puts all adoration and affection on to Him.
3 – Process with the Lord
Have a real conversation with the Father. Tell Him exactly how you are feeling. Cry. Lament. Do you what you need to do to get it all out. But don’t stay there. If you need to, go back to step 2.
4 – Pray and Bless
Spend time praying and blessing the person who got what you want. Do this out loud. Thank the Lord for their pregnancy. Thank Him for their baby. Pray for them like you were praying for your own baby.
5 – Use Your Authority
Command the enemy to flee. You have been given authority to tell the enemy to leave you alone. If he is causing a spirit of fear or jealousy. Tell him to GO!
6 – Cling to the Testimony
When God blesses someone else, it puts on display His goodness and faithfulness and also helps us understand what He is capable of doing. When the enemy comes in to cause jealousy, flip the script and let your friend’s victory be a testimony that you cling to as you ask God to do the same thing for you.
7 – Get to the Root
Still struggling? Seek to get to the root of any bitter or jealous feelings or any lies you might be believing. Do you believe God is withholding from you? Do you feel like He is punishing you? Do you believe the lie that He only has good things for others? Pursue an encounter with Him so all lies can be uprooted and truth from His Word can be planted.
8 – Lastly, Remind yourself of these truths
* Jealousy is not from God; it’s from the enemy
* God is no respector of persons
* God didn’t give your baby to someone else
* God can’t run out of miracles
* What God did for someone else is a testimony of what He is capable of doing for you
