My heart is so heavy today. It hurts. The news of the Oklahoma tornado is just devastating I spent the first 16 years of life just an hour down the road, so I think this hits home for me a little more. I still have family and friends in Oklahoma. Thank goodness, they are all safe.
Between the weather, the attacks on innocent people, and other news of people with illnesses (fast fwd this video to minute 14 and watch) it really makes me wonder, what matters?
Does this trial of infertility, really matter?! This question reminds me of my post back in June 2012, Joyful No Matter What, which puts things into perspective.
When we compare ourselves to the couples in the video above, or the world around us, we are so blessed. We both have great health, with no life threatening diseases. We have a roof over our head and food to eat on a daily basis. And, we have a God who loves us so much and has good plans for us. This is my prayer, that I remember daily, what really matters.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18
