Romans 4:18 -Against Hope #109

Romans 4:18 -Against Hope #109

Does your situation look hopeless? Guess what? So did Abraham’s! Today, I am continuing from where I left off last week in Romans 4. Romans 4:18 says, “Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it.”  The odds were completely against Abraham and Sarah to conceive, but despite his circumstances Abraham continued to believe anyway. Not only did he believe, but he expected God to fulfill His promise.

When there was nothing left to hope for, Abraham still hoped. As a result, he became a father of many nations. Not only did his faith and hope bring Isaac, but a legacy was built because of his trust in the Lord. You and I are here because of Abraham’s faith.

Just like Abraham, we have hope in God despite a hopeless situation and because of this generations will be changed. Your faith and my faith doesn’t just impact the current situation you are praying for, but it impacts those around you too. One day we will be able to tell our children that they are here because of the faith and hope we had for them. Not only will our children be born, but then their children will be born and then their children’s children will be born.

Abraham’s hope and faith created life-giving power. You have the same authority to shut out doubt and hopelessness and to step forward in walking in true faith. Your faith can move mountains. Your faith can birth new legacy’s. Despite how hopeless your situation is, expect God to fulfill His promises to you.

How are you demonstrating your faith to the Lord today? Do you expect God to fulfill His promises to you?
