Pregnant with Hope

Pregnant with Hope

Every night Colby and I pray together for our babies. Tuesday night after we finished I was reading scriptures regarding God’s promises for fertility and my heart just rose with hope.

I felt pregnant.

Not physically pregnant, but spiritually pregnant. Pregnant with hope. Pregnant with hope that our babies are coming soon. Pregnant with hope that the Lord fulfills His promise. Pregnant with hope that He is working on details everyday to bring us our babies. Pregnant with Hope that everything the enemy had tried to take away from us, the Lord is going to restore a double portion. Pregnant with Hope that His timing is perfect. Pregnant with hope because of Him! His faithfulness. His love. His forgiveness. His peace. His joy. His grace. His direction. His wisdom. His favor. His righteousness. His power. His compassion. His sovereignty.

I feel so pregnant right now, but this pregnancy has nothing to do with having babies. It has everything to do with Jesus. This feeling of pregnancy is so fulfilling. It doesn’t just last 9 months. It doesn’t have it’s good or bad days. It’s overflowing. It’s so much richer, sweeter, and better than any pregnancy I will ever have physically.

It is interesting that our Moms in the Making group read the book called Pregnant with Hope last summer and I never once thought about the title, but now I get it! I finally get it. For this journey I haven’t been able to explain how I feel, but now I can, I feel pregnant!! It is what so many are waiting for in the physical realm, but what I’m experiencing in the spiritual realm. It is so much more fulfilling then anything else and there is no waiting involved.

What are you pregnant with? Fear, doubt, jealousy, and bitterness or love, peace, joy, and hope?

The sweetest place to be is resting in His arms letting Him pour His love into you. I hope anyone experiencing a trial spends more time pursuing Him and less time pursuing the thing you are waiting for. He satisfies the longing soul. Psalm 107:9
