Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Miscarriage. SIDS. Stillbirth. Birth Defects. Eptopic Pregnancy.

What do these have to do with me? Well nothing. But 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss, so even though I can’t relate, many around the world can. Tomorrow, October 15th is national pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day. I have never been pregnant, so I don’t know what it’s like to lose. But, since I am involved in the fertility world, I will say I have known so many who have experienced loss, specific to miscarriages.

If that is you, whether you are suffering silently or you have spoken out about this, I am so sorry. I am sorry that it’s happened to you and I am sorry that those around you, including me, do not understand.

Even though I don’t understand, please know that my prayers go out to you on this day if you have had an infant loss. Please know that you are not alone. Please know that your babies life did and does matter. On this day and always may you feel extra love as you remember those you have lost.
