Our Fertility Update

Our Fertility Update

Whew.. yet another post that I keep putting off. It’s been 13 months since I last shared about our journey to becoming parents. It’s interesting how infrequent I have shared considering that this blog originally started to document our journey. Please don’t think that the lack of sharing about our journey over the years is due to a diminished desire to become parents, because I can assure you that is not the case.

Last month (April) hit the four year mark since we started trying and I just didn’t have the energy then to make a ‘it’s been four years and we are still not pregnant post’. But, I decided I put if off for long enough and it was time to hit submit.

This post doesn’t deserve a roll out of the red carpet. No drum roll is needed. There is no exciting announcement and in fact, as much as I cringe when I write these words, absolutely nothing (in the natural) has changed from my post last year. You read that right, nothing!

We are stilllll waiting. Still believing. Still hopeful. The wait has continued. And yes, the longer we have waited the harder it has gotten. But the expectancy has also been built even more. Romans 8:25 in the Message translation says, “But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.”  You better believe that joy is increasing in us each day in anticipation of the day we receive our breakthrough.

So the reason I have put this post off for so long is because I really have nothing to share. We are still on the same path which includes not tracking, charting, temping, timing, but just believe for a miracle. There aren’t any doctors appointments. There aren’t any medical updates. We are still in a season of finding balance with our diet, vitamins, oils, etc. The only thing that has stayed consistent is our hope, trust, and faith in the Lord.

So there you have it, my update that really isn’t an update. Thanks again to all who have followed along on our journey. In other news, I will be sharing some exciting updates over the next few months (no it has nothing to do with a baby), so I hope you will at least stick around for that.

“Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
