I’m tired and I’m weary. I miss my nephew. I want to be pregnant. Yesterday, while the tears streamed down my face at church, a friend whispered this verse, Psalm 56:8, to me. God knows all of our sorrows and He knows all of our tears.
Isn’t it amazing that not only does God know all the hairs on our head, but He keeps track of every sorrow and tear as well? ‘Why don’t you care?’ seems like such an easy question to ask Him, when the truth is that He does care. He does know. He knows every trial you are in. He knows every problem you are facing. He knows every tear you cry. He knows every heartache you have. He knows your pain.
If you are feeling like no one cares, including Jesus, I want to encourage you today that He does. Just like in Psalm 56 where God did not ignore David’s emotions, He isn’t ignoring yours either. He has deep concern for those who suffer, so much so that He catches every tear and He is with you during your sleepless nights. His ways are so hard to understand sometimes. There is purpose in all of them. He sees what you are going through and in due time His perfect plan, timing, and victory will be revealed.
