In the 14th chapter of 1 Corinthians, Paul addresses tongues, prophecy, and public worship. Even though the context of verse 33 is related to how worship should be conducted, it applies to all aspects of who God is and is not. He is not a God of confusion, but a God of peace.
Although often we don’t understand the way God works or why He does things that He does, He never intends for us to be confused. He brings peace, releases peace, and gives peace – never confusion. He is peace.
God doesn’t give as this world gives, so although your boss, friend, or family member might try to play games and confuse you, God never will. When we release complete control to Him in all aspects of our life is when we will feel His peace reign over our entire lives. When we run to Him, we are filled with His peace, when we run away from Him, we are filled with the confusion of this world. Which way are you running?
