I love the NCV version of Isaiah 66:9, I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born, says the Lord.
This verse is short, but straight to the point. Our present trials and pain will be turned into something good. God doesn’t start a work in someone or something and then not finish it. He always completes what He has planned and spoken. He would never start something and then just completely abandon it.
The NIV version of this verse relates it to childbirth, Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery, says the Lord.
No mom would ever labor for x amount of hours, be dilated to a 10, start pushing and then stop. There would be no physical way to stop the labor at that point. The Lord is as unstoppable as a birth of a baby coming out in those final moments. And the same joy that happens when the labor process is over also happens when His restoration is finished. He fulfills his promises. No matter what pain you are experiencing now, He will birth something new and redeem your story.
