Memory Monday – Week 25

Memory Monday – Week 25

This verse probably should have been posted back during my fear series, but it didn’t, so I’m sharing it now 🙂

God is love. Love isn’t something we have to attain, it was already perfect when Jesus died on the cross. The love in this scripture isn’t referring to love based on feelings, but it is perfect and complete. Because of His perfect love, we have nothing to fear, ever. God should always be our standard of love.

I believe this verse is relating to having fear on judgement day, but I think it can also relate to all aspects we deal with of fear. I think if we truly comprehended what Jesus did on the cross we would realize we have nothing to fear, EVER. Ever, ever, ever. Think about it!!! Jesus has overcome. He died for all of our sicknesses and all of our sins. We are made complete and whole because of what He has already done. Why fear?

We can’t be confident in anything if we even have slight fears. Confidence and fear do not go together. What are you fearing? Maybe you are pregnant and you have fears of losing your child. Maybe you desire to be pregnant and have fears it will never happen. Remember, The Lord does not give us a spirit of fear – 2 Timothy 1:7. This verse means that ALL thoughts related to fear are NEVER from the Lord. They are ALWAYS from the enemy. The minute those thoughts come into your mind, you need to rebuke them!

What about anxiety, control, etc. Why is there a need for anxiety? Why is there a need for control? Don’t you think all of this stems from fear? I do!!!! We are anxious about something because we have a fear it will or won’t happen. We try to control our kids while they are in school, because we fear they won’t excel. But, as this verse says, because of God’s perfect love for us, there is no room for fear.

What are you fearing? I encourage you to release all that to God today. Join me in walking in complete freedom; in the Lord’s perfect love and not in the enemy’s attacks of fear. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom – 2 Corinthians 3:17.
