To say that God is doing huge things in my life is a massive understatement.
Between my sweet friend from the airport, a few other friends and my time in prayer and reading, the Lord is teaching me a ton and I’ve learned a lot about what the bible says regarding barrenness and healing. There are so many amazing scriptures and I’m overwhelmed with wanting to share them all. I plan on focusing on these scriptures over the next few Mondays.
This verse has totally transformed my thinking lately. I’ve actually had it on a note card on my bathroom mirror for about a year, but it wasn’t until recently that it finally hit me.
God offered His son to die on the cross so we could be healed of our sins. When I’ve read this verse in the past, this is the truth I have mediated on; healing from our sin. Recently I realize it’s not just for our sins to be forgiven. This says, “by His wounds, you have been healed.” When Jesus cried out from the cross “It is finished!” not only was he referring to our sin, but our sickness too.
I love God’s unconditional love and grace towards us. We don’t have to do anything to accept it. It’s not about works or a checklist. It all goes back to the fact that we are completely forgiven and healed because of what happened on the cross thousands of years ago. C.J. and I have been praising God for this truth and accepting this scripture over our situation daily.
Perfect and complete healing is ours because of what Jesus already accomplished on the cross. Not what He will do, but what He has already done!! We are made whole through Him! Amen!
