It’s good to be back! It was a sweet time off and the Lord spoiled me with more blue sock moments. I sure did miss posting on here and reading other blogs too, but I know the break was more important than my selfish desires. Thanks to everyone for sending encouraging emails and comments and I so loved praying over those girls who emailed me with requests. It’s such a blessing to be part of such a sweet community.

Each day you wake up you must choose what to put your confidence in. If you are driving to the grocery store, you trust that your car will get you there. If you are traveling, you trust that the plane will get there. If you ask a friend for a favor, you trust they will do it. If you ask a coworker for help on a project, you trust they will help you.
What or who do you trust for the bigger things?
This might depend on what you are praying and waiting for. Psalm 118:8 tells us it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
This verse tells us to trust in God’s word, His promises, and His provisions. It doesn’t matter what your parents told you, what your friend told you, what your boss told you, or what the random stranger told you – you are to trust in God and His word.
This is such a profound verse for those who are waiting to expand their family. It brings so much hope. Time after time couples receive negative and discouraging news from the doctor. Death is spoken into their situation. Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop believing and trusting what the doctors have told you. God’s word promises SO much more than that. I have heard girls say things like ‘well the doctor said this and that’. Don’t you think the creator of the earth, of all things, the one person who holds the world together truth’s matter so much more?
Instead of reflecting on what you were told by man, I hope this verse gives you encouragement to seek God’s word. Seek His promises. They trump every diagnosis given! Amen!
