5K and Oreo Balls

5K for Rebecca

This past weekend I ran a 5K virtual race for my friend Rebecca who is battling cancer and Lyme’s Disease. Some of you might have read her story when I posted it a few weeks ago.

My goal was to run as fast as possible for Rebecca πŸ™‚ I’m not a runner, but after thinking about how much she is going through, I thought surely I could push myself. The pain that I endured during my run is nothing compared to what she goes through on a daily basis. The Lord gave me supernatural energy as I definitely have never ran this fast, ever! Praise Him!

I feel so honored to support, pray, and run for Rebecca. If you have a few extra dollars, or lots of dollars please consider contributing to her healing!

Oreo Balls

What does a 5K have to do with oreo balls? Nothing! Besides that after running you might not feel so guilty indulging in these, ha. But, if you are looking for a delicious (unhealthy) treat, go over to Mentoring Moments to check out the recipeΒ I posted. These used to be a staple in Colby’s diet, way before we cut out all refined sugar, etc.Β You can’t go wrong with making these, ever (besides the unhealthy factor).

Ahhhhhh I loooooove Oreo balls! Where I used to work, my friend/co-worker would make me a whole batch of those JUST FOR ME for my birthday every year. Let’s not even discuss how quickly they were gone. And I wasn’t sharing. I think we can attribute at least 2 pants sizes to that little situation. πŸ˜‰
