Psalm 37:3 – Keep Trusting #119

In Psalm 37, David encouraged the people to continue trusting in the Lord. Psalm 37:3 in the Passion Translation says, “Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, Feasting on his faithfulness.”

Trusting God should be the first reaction and instinct when facing any and every situation, yet that is not always the case. I am the first to admit that it so easy to allow doubt and fear to overtake me. When that happens I have to not only take those thoughts captive, but also renew my mind and speak truth over my situation. His desire is that we rid ourselves of all fear and not only trust Him, but do what is right in his eyes.

Continue to trust the Lord and fix your heart on the promises of God. What happens when you do? This verse promises that you will be secure. God truly is the only person who keeps Him promises. He doesn’t lie and He will never change His mind. He isn’t going to leave you, but He is going to carry you through until you receive your promises from Him. He wants each of us to not only feast on His faithfulness, but enjoy all the blessings He gives us. Stop living in fear and worry, and start feasting on the faithfulness of God!

I love this Caroline! Such encouragement! It’s so good to be reminded that God isn’t a magic gene and but our security! That even if everything we ask for doesn’t happen since this is earth, not heaven, that there will still be MORE than enough to bask in His faithfulness about. I love this reminder today my friend! Thank you!

    Caroline
I live this everyday for but for a different reason. It’s laying it at the foot of the cross daily. Sometimes I have to lay it down several times. But God is faithful. He will never carry us where his grace does not abide.

I love how this dear Scripture is worded! What an encouragement in this season of waiting upon the Lord! Sometimes it can be SO difficult to focus our eyes upon Him, especially when things are not moving as fast as we wish they would! God help us to be faithful to Him, even in our waiting seasons. God bless you, dear Caroline!

Yes, it is so important to turn to Him in trust and lean into Him when we are struggling with fear or insecurities. He so wants to comfort us and give us His joy and glory.

So many times we are reminded to just trust His Word. So simple, yet so hard for many persons to even comprehend. How He longs for us to just trust him wholly

Such a great reminder…and I often need reminding! I love being in control and often when facing a stressful situation I begin to feel overwhelmed, anxious, etc and that’s when I finally clue in to what I’m missing…HIM!

This has been my favorite post that has come through. I keep it in my inbox and reread it whenever it feels like things are getting a little too tough. This helped me get through the last IVF cycle like you wouldn’t believe. Thank you for sharing this!
