Psalm 37:3 – Keep Trusting #119
In Psalm 37, David encouraged the people to continue trusting in the Lord. Psalm 37:3 in the Passion Translation says, “Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, Feasting on his faithfulness.”
Trusting God should be the first reaction and instinct when facing any and every situation, yet that is not always the case. I am the first to admit that it so easy to allow doubt and fear to overtake me. When that happens I have to not only take those thoughts captive, but also renew my mind and speak truth over my situation. His desire is that we rid ourselves of all fear and not only trust Him, but do what is right in his eyes.
Continue to trust the Lord and fix your heart on the promises of God. What happens when you do? This verse promises that you will be secure. God truly is the only person who keeps Him promises. He doesn’t lie and He will never change His mind. He isn’t going to leave you, but He is going to carry you through until you receive your promises from Him. He wants each of us to not only feast on His faithfulness, but enjoy all the blessings He gives us. Stop living in fear and worry, and start feasting on the faithfulness of God!
