Psalm 34:10 Lack Nothing #159

The richest of the rich, the fullest of the full, the strongest of the strong. What do all of these people have in common? Everything, right? Wrong. Psalm 34:10 says, “Even the strong and the wealthy grow weak and hungry, but those who passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.”

Someone can attain the highest achievement or have all the tangible things in the world, however if they are missing Christ, they will still come up empty. Each and every one of these people mentioned above will grow weary and hungry and even though on the outside it might seem as though they have it all, on the inside they will be facing lack.

Those who “passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.” Do you realize you can have nothing, but possess everything, when you have Christ? This verse doesn’t say you will “never lack any good thing” when you acknowledge the Lord’s existence, or pray to him once a month, but it says when you “passionately pursue.”

Stop pursuing the things of this world, and start putting all your passions into pursuing the Lord. When you do, you will never lack any good thing. God has a lot of good in store for you, so don’t put your attention on anyone else or in anything else, but him!

YES – passionately pursue! There’s a HUGE difference between once a month or when things go wrong. SO true! And yes, He is better than richest, fame, power, etc. Lord, let us never forget that!

I love this! We’re constantly trying to teach our youth the importance of pursuing Him rather than what their peers say is “cool”.

This is so right on! God wants this from us, and sometimes I think He utilizes whatever means necessary to encourage us to passionately pursue Him! I know He has sure used my trials in this way!
