In A Moment

In a moment, everything can change. There are so many moments for me that have been life-changing. The moment I said yes to Jesus. The moment I said yes to Colby. And some moments that might not seem like a big deal, but had a huge impact on my life, like the moment I moved during high school, the moment I quit my job and the moment I started a ministry. And then there are the moments I encountered God that are just as powerful, like when he healed my back during a church service.

Do you realize all it takes is one moment for your whole life to change? God loves to work in “moments.” And you never know when that moment is going to come. I have been waiting a long time for my moment. I am in year 6 and still waiting for that moment when I take a pregnancy test and it flashes positive. And yes, that moment, the moment when I find out I am pregnant will change everything. Everything. My life will forever look different and be different.

In one moment your prayers can be answered. Your wait can come to an end. Healing can happen. Breakthrough can come. You can receive your miracle. In one moment, God can change everything for you. All it takes is one moment.

Just like Acts 16 says, Paul was in Prison, but in a moment, it all changed. Acts 16:26 says, “Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.” In a moment God loosed Paul’s chains and Paul received his breakthrough. In a moment he was no longer bound to the walls of his prison anymore, but he was set free.

But that isn’t the only example. What about Acts 2:2-3 when in a moment a sound came from heaven and the people were filled with the Holy Spirit or how God removed all the gloom in a moment in Isaiah 9:1 which says, “But suddenly there will be no more gloom for the land that suffered.”  In a moment God can take any situation and change it. He can take your depression, sadness, anxiety, sorrow, misery and despair away just like that. He can say one word and in a moment your life will look different forever.

One instant. One moment. One encounter with God. And everything can change forever. Just because your moment hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t mean it’s not going to. What moment are you waiting for? What is preventing you from believing that God can change your life in one moment? Believe that at any moment God can change your circumstances around by bringing an answer to your prayers. Believe that at any moment your breakthrough will come. Believe that one moment, just one encounter with God can change you forever and that moment? The moment you are waiting for? When that moment happens you will realize it was worth every moment leading up to it that you had to wait.

Love this! It’s so true. Sometimes we can look back on our lives and see all these seemingly unconnected moments suddenly connect. That’s my whole testimony.

Hi Caroline. I loved our moment together running on Sunday. You were the beauty in the struggle we call triathlon. A friend asked me, “How do you strike up a conversation while you’re running?!” It’s a God thing! I loved meeting you and your husband and sharing how God is moving in our community.

Just as I was scrolling to read this, a red breasted finch flew to our pergola just outside my window!! It wasn’t a huge moment but I took it as God putting His punctuation mark! to your writing😊 I stopped reading. It was just a moment in time. But a pleasant moment I’m glad I was allowed to see. Thank you for pointing ☝️ this woman to our Lord. 💜✝️🙏🏻

It will be in a moment when he returns to take us home and all the trials and sufferings on this earth will be gone. Until then we can keep looking for the moments which transform us into who God created us to be. Thank You for sharing your moment with me 🙂 Sometimes, we just need to stop for a moment and breathe.
