Community Post: Lies We Believe

Happy Friday! I have been SO grateful over the past 2.5 years to meet some incredible bloggers and mentioned last week that one of the many blessings from this trial are the friendships I have made along the way. Today, I’ve connected with some of these amazing other ladies to share about the lies that people believe when going through infertility (or any other trial).

We all teamed up and are sharing about these 7 lies:

  • The lie that I am broken
  • The lie that I am not worthy
  • The lie that I am all alone in this struggle
  • The lie that God is punishing me for something I have done
  • The lie that adoption is plan B
  • The lie that I am not healed
  • The lie that God’s gift is actually a curse

I hope this post helps you renew your mind, dismiss all of the lies, and encourages you to be captivated with God’s truths! Be sure to head over to Chelsea’s blog and check out the post!

Stopping by via ICLW and found your post so uplifting. I too have been swamped by these beliefs and it can be hard to remind ourselves that they are just lies. I will enjoy following your journey. Congratulations on your lovely blog!

Thank you for sharing. I’m stopping by from ICLW and I can’t tell you how many times I have heard these things, or have felt them in the “advice” offered. My best to you.

I love your distinction between punishment and discipline. You’re so right that God – who is LOVE – isn’t punishing us. Yet he will correct us when we head down the wrong path. Thank you for the reminder that God will support us through our struggles, not punish us.

Thanks for linking up with the #SHINEbloghop!

How powerful. So many of us believe these lies…me included. Thank you for bringing them to light and calling out the one who put those lies there. By exposing them as lies, I hope that we can start replacing them with His truth.
