This year has flown by! I can’t believe in just a few short weeks we will be celebrating Christmas already. Colby and I were a little late getting our tree this year since I got so sick, but I can finally say as of last night it is up and decorated. You might have seen in my instagram stories, but we get a live tree and this year the tree is way too big. I told Colby to get the biggest one and that he did. It’s about 9.5 feet and compared to our normal 6 foot trees, it seems so big.

The good news is I might have been behind with our tree, but we ordered gorgeous Christmas cards in plenty of time. I have ordered cards from Minted the last several years because I love how they look and am always so happy with how quickly I receive them. And, what I also love is that you can upload a file to their website and import all your contacts and their addresses and they print them on gorgeous envelopes for you. Which when you have 1st grade handwriting like I do, works out great!

Now is the time I should admit something, I don’t buy or send very many Christmas cards. Mainly only to family. Does anyone else do this? Honestly, I get so overwhelmed of how long the list could be and if I wanted to include everyone it would be way too many. Of course, when we have kids, this might change and I might be much more inclined to buy them and send them to the whole world. But for now, the main reason I do them is to document the year for me.

Every year I do a quick recap by sharing the places we visited over the year, including a picture from each country/state. The card this year said this: “We had a year of a lot of changes and a lot of travel! Caroline left her job in April to pursue her ministry (which is now a non-profit) and her blog full-time. She, along with the help of many others, hosted the 1st Moms in the Making conference in October. Colby kept busy all year by keeping the bad guys off the streets. We mourned the loss of Colby’s dad, but celebrated the arrival of another niece. We traveled to Colorado, Florida, Netherlands, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Montenegro as well as California and Louisiana for Caroline’s speaking engagements. Love, Colby + Caroline”

There are so many card options and they are all customizable, which is fabulous. You can see all the options here.

Also included in my Christmas decorations this year is the artwork I purchased from the past few years, which they still have available. I have always had a lot of wall space above our mantle and besides adding some greenery and our stockings during the Christmas season, I have never known what else to display. But a few years ago I got four beautiful pieces and I am still using them today. I ordered this print in a larger size for the center of our mantle and ordered the other three prints below in the smaller sizes as well. I am thankful they have Christ-based art as that is the whole reason we celebrate Christmas. I also have a tree-skirt and table runner from Minted as well.

My reversible tree skirt. I loved both sides and this was one decision that easy to make!

This year, I also purchased napkins. We always use disposable, but I felt ready to switch it up. They have such cute sets, but this design stood out to me the most. I love that I can use these year round!

And again, more of Minted’s beautiful Christmas decor that I got last year.

Girl, I’m that same way with Christmas cards. At least the ones that we make! I just go through Walgreens 1-hour photo and I think a box usually comes with 20, so I just order one box and limit my sending to 20 or less. With other card exchanges, like for MITM, I buy cards so I can write messages on them and that makes them more from me instead of from me and a husband they’ve never met! haha! 🙂 I’m actually ordering mine now!

We use Minted for Christmas cards every year, too. I love the address thing…knowing that all I have to do is pop a stamp on it makes things so much easier. I love the napkins you got. Every year I eye all their designs but never buy them! I really should because they are soooo gorgeous and I like the idea of using cloth napkins when friends come over for dinner. Your Christmas card is coming your way next week (we’re slow). 😉
